ServiceIntelligence allows us to designate a category as a type of service that may or may not be applicable to a vehicle. This should be done when there is any ambiguity as to wether or not we can make a solid recomendation for a specific service, such as timing belts, fuel filters, and even in some cases spark plugs. Since not all vehicles have these parts, and not all vehicles need them on the same interval, we can change the service so that it does not automatically recommend that the service need be performed after a certain number of miles or months.
Solution:
Inside of SI, click 'Edit' from the top most menu.
In the drop down that appears, click on 'Service Intervals'.
In the popup window that appears, select the service category that you would like to remove from the Due Now/Due Next sections of the SI Reports from the list of services on the left.
In the context menu on the right, find "Project Due Now/Due Next" and set the field to "False"
Click Apply, then OK to save the changes.
Notes:
For most services this is unnessecary as all vehicles need that service. If the issue is that a customer does not agree with your recommended service interval of X miles or Y months, than a better solution would be to create additional categories that use alternative intervals. For more information on how to create additional categories, please contact support and we will be happy to walk you through the steps to add additional tracking.
