1. Open the customer vehicle in the Repair Order view.
2. Click on the "Send Text Message" button on the bottom margin.
NOTE: For security reasons, Service-Intel (SI) logs you out if:
a) Your user login credentials are used on another machine.
b) If your user session is idle for an extended period of time.
How to Create a New SMS or Modify an Existing Template
1. Click on Texting Center. IMPORTANT: Note that customers in bold have 4 text messages pending an answer. In the example below, the 07 MAZDA has 1 message and the 98 FORD TRUCK has 3 messages pending.
2. Search or Select the Customer.
3. Select Create New Template
4. Insert a Merged Field for dynamic content
5. Click step 4 above and select the merge field from your MaxxTraxx management system and insert them into your messages to dynamically personalize text messages. Note you can search for available fields.
6. You can add images, videos, and PDF (i.e. estimates or invoices). In the example below a picture of a damaged tire is sent to the vehicle owner.
7. If you want to keep it fun and friendly add an emoji and save the temple for future use.
8. Save your masterpiece! Note that sometimes it's faster to start with one of the included templates and modify it to your needs. Then click Save As and give it anothe name.
